By our count, there are at least 30 condo buildings in San Francisco that have a swimming pool as an amenity for building residents and guests. While a few can be found on the north end of the city in neighborhoods like Pacific Heights, the majority of condo buildings with swimming pools are concentrated in South Beach and Mission Bay, where we have some of the newesr developments and warmer weather.

If you’re in the Yerba Buena neighborhood, The Millennium Tower offers an indoor salt water swimming pool and the St. Regis and Four Seasons also have swimming pools. 181 Fremont does not.

South Beach is also a popular spot for pools – early buildings like The Watermark, The Bridgeview and Portside all have pools. So do newer buildings like The Infinity, The Harrison and The Lumina.

As for swimming pools in areas you might not expect?

Diamond Heights Village in Diamond Heights has an outdoor swimming pool, which seems a bit cruel given the number of days per year it is sunny in Diamond Heights.

The furthest south development in the city with a pool in the city is almost to Daly City – Lake Merced Hills, a development of town homes from 1975 near lake Merced in the Stonestown neighborhood of San Francisco.

As for pool styles, you’ve got a bunch of choices from the athletic-oriented lap pool to the more casual “this swimming pool was designed for sunbathing” style.

Where’s your favorite swimming pool in San Francisco? Have we missed any buildings with swimming pools? Let us know in the comments or drop us a line, we always enjoy hearing from you. And until then, we hope our guide to condo buildings with pools in San Francisco helps keep you cool.
