A series of delays have kept 107 new homes from coming to fruition at 1200 Van Ness.  In the fall of 2021, Derrick Chang revealed the renderings for the planned 13-story mixed-use building after the May approval by the SF Planning Commission.

According to plans, the residences would be above a retail store and medical office.

A Little More About 1200 Van Ness

The latest rumblings from 2021 state, the development proposed would now yield 107 condos, a mix of 59 one-bedrooms and 48 two-bedrooms. The mixed-use building would also be home to a medical office, retail space, and a supermarket. That said, this proposal has been on the drafting table since 2016 and has not yet broken ground. We’ll keep you posted on new movements in the development that could bring more resources to central SF residents.
