Monterey Heights Neighborhood Vibe
A residential neighborhood from beginning to end and at all points in between, with not a drop of commercial or a hint of mixed-use to be found. Bounded to the south by Monterey Blvd. and to the north by Sherwood Forest, Monterey Heights contains homes that are typically slightly less grand than nearby St. Francis Wood, but by any objective standard are still large and magnificent.
Popular Monterey Heights Home Styles
It’s an eclectic mix of homes that began construction around 1920. Spanish Mediterranean stucco is common, but you’ll also see plenty of variety with English Tudors co-existing peacefully next to contemporary homes.
Getting Around in Monterey Heights
Like most other West of Twin Peaks neighborhoods, the neighborhood was built with the assumption you’d be parking at least one car in the lovely garage that is attached to your fully detached home. Let’s put it this way: maybe you want to drive to the transit station?
