The Westerly — known for a brief period of time as Ocean Park — is home to 56 residences at 3535 Wawona Street in the Outer Parkside neighborhood of San Francisco.
Home sizes at The Westerly include one-, two-, and (one) three-bedroom homes. Building amenities include a residents’ lounge, outdoor seating area with a firepit, co-working space, dog washing station, bike and auto parking, and an herb garden.
Developer: Sloat-Parkside Properties | Architect: Hamilton & Co Architecture
After a dozen years of planning, weathering the financial storm of 2008 and neighborhood opposition, the Outer Parkside is gaining 56 new homes on the block of Sloat Blvd. between 46th and 47th Avenues. On the ground floor, there are four commercial spaces for non-formula retail and restaurant businesses. Homes will range in size from one to three bedrooms.
July 2018: We have information indicating the current owner has elected to finish the development and sell the homes.
March 2019: We’re working to get an update about building plans at this time. Homes were listed and then un-listed last fall.
April 2019: The development has been picked up by the Compass new development team and re-branded as The Westerly.
August 2019: Sales to general public have begun with the new sales/marketing team in place.
Number of Homes
Three old buildings were demolished in 2015 to make way for the new development, and the building was completed in 2019. (The Roberts Motel closed permanently, Aqua Surf Shop moved to Judah @ 44th Avenue, and John’s Ocean Beach Cafe is closed for now but the owners have been offered a space in the new development.)
One-bedroom homes start at just under $800,000. Two-bedroom homes start at around $1 million.
Underground garage parking.
Amenities and Finishes
The basic finish package includes hardwood floors throughout, Bertazzoni stainless steel appliances, and a deep kitchen sink with a goose-neck faucet. Optional upgrades include window treatments, closet organizers, upgraded hardwood floors, and Miele appliances.
Below Market Rate (Inclusionary Housing) Homes
Initial plans are for seven onsite BMRs.
We do not represent the developer of the Westerly. The new development team at Compass represents the developer exclusively, and we provide buyers with independent representation across the city of San Francisco.
