District 10 Neighborhoods and Homes for Sale by Neighborhood:

Learn more about the following neighborhoods in the south-most part of  San Francisco (the southern part of San Francisco, not the separate city of South San Francisco, which is a part of San Mateo County:

  • Bayview
  • Bayview Heights
  • Candlestick Point
  • Crocker Amazon
  • Excelsior
  • Hunters Point
  • Little Hollywood
  • Mission Terrace homes for sale
  • Outer Mission
  • Portola
  • Silver Terrace
  • Visitacion Valley

District 10 is the Southernmost area of San Francisco, and stretches almost the entire width of the county along our boundary with San Mateo county. As it moves east, the neighborhood grows to north, and is roughly bounded by I-280 for much of the district, with the only exception being a portion of the Bayview neighborhood that stretches to the 101.

The north boundary of District 10 neighborhood the Bayview is Cesar Chavez.

Much of District 10 consists of single family homes. There are numerous parks in the neighborhood, including Mclaren Park, the Crocker Amazon playground and soccer field complex, the Gleneagles Golf Course, Balboa Park, and the Candlestick Point State Recreation Area to name just a few of the larger neighborhood parks.

District 10 is probably the next big chunk of San Francisco to experience gentrification. Neighborhoods like Mission Terrace are already beginning to gentrify, and redevelopment plans for Hunters Point and the Bayview mean that changes are also beginning in the eastern-most neighborhoods of District 10.

The weather in the western part of District 10 can be a little cool and foggy, while the eastern side of the neighborhood tends to have sunnier weather since it is closer to the bay and farther from the fog rolling in off of the Pacific Ocean. We hope you’ll take some time to explore our District 10 San Francisco home resources. We look forward to hearing from you – good or bad – so please don’t be shy.
