The North Waterfront neighborhood of San Francisco is a tiny sliver along the northeast corner of the city, home to some of our most famous tourist attractions. We’ve made a brief video of the neighborhood to help you familiarize yourself with the area:
The area is defined by the hilly geography of San Francisco, with the cliffs of the area providing a natural geographic boundary along Sansome street on the south western side of the neighborhood. Bay and Columbus streets are the southern and western bounds of the district.
Homes for sale in the North Waterfront, as you might expect, offer some wonderful water views of the San Francisco bay depending upon the exact location of the property. The neighborhood also has a reputation for pretty sunny weather.
If people watching is your favorite past time, then you would be hard pressed to find an area that offers more places to watch the various tourists and visitors to San Francisco. Whether you are hanging out at the Ferry Building or just strolling along the Embarcadero, there is always something interesting to watch.
Foodies will delight in being a short walk away from the Saturday Farmer’s Market at the Embarcadero Ferry building, considered to be one of the finest farmer’s markets in the nation. The farmer’s market and Ferry building are also home to plenty of award-winning and incredible restaurants if you happen to be the type of person that enjoys eating but not cooking (or doing the dishes).
