San Francisco knows how to throw a party, so you better start thinking hard about which events you’ll attend and which you’ll have to skip and deal with the resulting FOMO. There will be all types of events to choose from throughout 2017 and it can be hard to narrow down the list. Some events you simply cannot miss, while others may be unique, new or a tradition. Here are a few Bay Area events you should mark on your calendar for 2017.
San Francisco Restaurant Week
From January 18th to 29th, San Francisco Restaurant Week will be held throughout the city. About 130 different restaurants will provide prix-fixe menus to show off their food. You can find restaurants participating in almost every neighborhood, from The Marina to The Castro.
San Francisco Beer Week
If you miss restaurant week or just want to enjoy another fun event, San Francisco Beer Week will happen from February 10th to 19th. Many local breweries will participate with educational programs and food pairings. Anchor Steam, a local brewery in Potrero Hill, and 21st Amendment, a great restaurant/pub in South Beach are amongst the event sponsors.
